2015 Marquis de Mons,Chateau La Tour de Mons, Margaux, Bordeaux
“Near Chateau Margaux & Made by 100 pt ANGÉLUS in the Greatest Bordeaux Vintage Since 2010!”
Made in the same polished format as Angelus, Marquis de Mons combines younger vines of the estate’s sandy, gravelly soils in a wine with a bright, jubilant character. 18 months of aging in used oak adds a touch of class and spice to this ruby juice, without imparting the heavy tannins that take years to mellow out. A younger version of its austere, sister Estate, Marquis de Mons puts the soul of Margaux in a bottle that’s ready to drink today but has the structure to last a solid 10 years!
Marquis de Mons is the second wine of the Château La Tour de Mons. It comes from the same terroir and is vinified with as much care as the Grand Vin, and the blend is similar. It uses the younger vines of the estate. Marquis de Mons' wine style tends towards the research of balance, with supple tannins and good aromatic expression. It is a wine to enjoy whilst young
